Latvia Producer Prices Rise in April

Producer prices in Latvia increased by 0.9% year-on-year in April 2026, rebounding from a downwardly revised 0.1% decline in March. Manufacturing costs rose by 0.7% (up from 0.2% in March), with notable increases in textiles (5.3% vs. 4.8%), wood products (2% vs. 0.1%), printing and reproduction of recorded media (3.4% vs. 0.6%), and furniture (1.8% vs. 1.2%).

Costs also climbed in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities, accelerating to 7.5% from 6.4%. Meanwhile, deflation eased in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply, where prices fell 1.9% compared with a 5.2% drop in the previous month. By contrast, cost growth in mining and quarrying cooled slightly, slowing to 15.5% from 16.2%.

On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.6% in April, reversing a downwardly revised 2% decline in the prior month.
