Preliminary estimates from the University of Michigan survey show that year-ahead inflation expectations in the United States eased to 4.6% in June 2026, down from a nine-month high of 4.8% in May. Meanwhile, the five-year inflation outlook declined to 3.4% in June, retreating from an 11-month high of 3.9% recorded in the previous month.
