Serbia Producer Inflation Eases in June

Serbia’s producer prices rose 7.0% year-on-year in June 2026, slowing from an eight-month high of 8.4% in May. The deceleration was driven primarily by the mining sector, where price growth dropped sharply to 8.4% from 19.5%, reflecting a marked slowdown in crude oil and natural gas extraction prices (20.4% vs. 64.6%).

Inflation in manufacturing also eased, to 7.9% from 9.4%, amid weaker price growth across several branches of industry. Notably, prices for food products fell by 0.2% after rising 0.2% in the previous period, while inflation slowed for beverages (4.0% vs. 4.2%) and for rubber and plastic products (2.5% vs. 2.6%).

At the same time, producer price inflation came in at 4.4% in water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities, and at 3.9% in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply.

On a monthly basis, producer prices declined 0.9% in June, reversing a 0.1% increase recorded in May.
