Motorbike sales in Indonesia rose by 1.1% year-on-year to 515,136 units in June 2026, rebounding from a 5.1% decline in the previous month, despite ongoing cost pressures. Over the first half of the year, sales totaled 3.13 million units, down 0.3% from the same period a year earlier.
The Association of Indonesian Motorcycle Industry (AISI) expects full-year sales to remain broadly stable, in a range of 6.4 million to 6.7 million units. In the previous year, motorbike sales increased by 1.3% to 6.4 million units, landing within AISI’s target range of 6.4 million to 6.7 million units but slightly below the 1.5% growth recorded in 2024.
On a month-on-month basis, sales climbed 7.5% in June, reversing an 8.0% drop in May.
