Belgian consumer confidence improved modestly in July 2026, according to the latest Thomson Reuters IPSOS Primary Consumer Sentiment Index (PCSI) data. The indicator rose to 43.86, up from 42.84 in June 2026, in a month-over-month comparison.

The July reading highlights a continued, if cautious, uptick in sentiment among Belgian consumers, with the index adding just over one point compared with the previous month. The data, updated as of 09 July 2026, reflects the actual change between June and July, while the June figure itself represented a comparison with May.

Although the PCSI level remains below the neutral 50-point threshold that typically separates pessimism from optimism, the steady month-on-month gain suggests sentiment is gradually improving as the summer progresses.
