FX.co ★ Kazakhstan Industrial Activity Expands

Kazakhstan’s industrial production rose 8.2% year-on-year in June 2026, accelerating from 4.7% in May. The strongest growth was recorded in the manufacturing sector, which surged 13.7% compared with 5.2% a month earlier. This was followed by the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water, and air conditioning, which inched up to 16.9% from 16%.

By contrast, mining and quarrying output slowed to 1.8% from 3%, mainly reflecting lower production of crude oil and natural gas. Activity in water supply, sewerage, waste collection, treatment and disposal, and pollution abatement services contracted by 1.3%, reversing a 2.9% increase in the previous month.

Over the first half of the year, industrial production expanded by 3.5% compared with the same period a year earlier.
