Colombia Export Growth Slows in June

Colombia’s exports increased by 7% year-on-year to USD 4.23 billion in June 2026, slowing from a 19.2% rise in May and marking the weakest growth so far this year. The overall expansion was mainly driven by a 17.1% increase in exports of fuels and extractive industries, which accounted for 42.6% of total foreign sales. This sector benefited from a 17.6% rise in oil and petroleum product exports, even though crude oil export volumes inched up only 0.2% to 13.5 million barrels.

Exports of manufactured goods grew by 2.4%, largely supported by an 18.7% increase in chemical products. Meanwhile, exports of agricultural products and food, representing 25.8% of total exports, fell by 10.8%, dragged down by a 22.7% decline in shipments of cut flowers and foliage and a 12.7% drop in exports of unroasted coffee.
