European Stocks Hit New High

European equities extended their winning streak into a third session on Wednesday, with the STOXX 50 up 0.2% and the STOXX 600 advancing 0.3% to fresh record highs. Risk appetite was underpinned by growing optimism about a potential US–Iran agreement, while corporate earnings remained the key driver for individual stocks.

On the corporate front, Siemens Energy gained 3.5% after delivering record third-quarter sales, margins, and order intake. Heineken advanced 2.1% following a strong first half, posting solid increases in both profit and revenue. SAP added 0.9%, Safran climbed 1.3%, and Rheinmetall rose 2%.

On the downside, Novo Nordisk slipped 3.5%. The company issued upbeat guidance, but persistent concerns about the longer-term outlook for its obesity segment continued to pressure the share price. Infineon Technologies dropped 4.4%, the weakest performer in the STOXX 600, as its quarterly results disappointed investors and overshadowed an upgrade to full-year guidance. HSBC retreated 2.9%, while luxury names also came under pressure, with LVMH down 1.8% and Hermès off 1.4%.
