Germany’s exports increased by 0.9% month-on-month to €139.3 billion in June 2026, slowing slightly from an upwardly revised 1.1% gain in May but comfortably exceeding market expectations of a 0.2% rise. Exports to EU member states grew by 1.3% to €79.3 billion, supported by a 1.2% increase in shipments to the euro area (€55.3 billion) and a 1.8% rise in exports to non-euro area EU countries (€24.1 billion). Elsewhere, exports to non-EU destinations edged up 0.3% to €60.0 billion, as robust demand from the UK (+7.7%) more than offset weaker sales to the US (-14.2%) and China (-0.3%). Over the first half of 2026, German exports rose 3.7% year-on-year to a total of €816.6 billion.
