Greece Trade Deficit Narrows in June

Greece’s trade deficit narrowed to EUR 2.6 billion in June 2026, down from EUR 3.2 billion in the same month a year earlier, though it remained the widest shortfall of the past three months. Imports increased 6.5% to EUR 7.6 billion, reflecting higher purchases from EU partners (up 4.8%) and from third countries (up 8.6%). For the January–June period, the trade deficit shrank to EUR 15.1 billion, compared with EUR 16.9 billion in the same period a year earlier.
