Philippines Producer Inflation Steady at 3% in July

Producer prices for Philippine manufacturing rose 3.0% year-on-year in July 2026, unchanged from June’s pace. The main driver was higher prices for coke and refined petroleum products, which accelerated to 2.4% from 1.3% in June and accounted for 68.6% of the overall increase.

Additional upward pressure came from prices of computer, electronic and optical products, which climbed 5.8% (from 5.6%), and from other manufacturing, as well as the repair and installation of machinery and equipment, where prices rose 3.2% (from 2.4%).

These gains were partly offset by slower price growth in several categories, including basic metals (5.5% vs 5.7%), transport equipment (2.8% vs 3.0%), and food products (1.3% vs 1.7%), with the deceleration in prepared animal feeds (0.9% vs 2.3%) particularly notable.
