Georgia GDP Growth Remains Strong in July

Georgia’s economy grew by 8.0% year-on-year in July 2026, following an 8.6% expansion in the previous month. This robust performance was driven mainly by strong activity in manufacturing, information and communication, financial and insurance services, mining and quarrying, as well as transportation and storage. In contrast, construction output declined compared with a year earlier. Average real GDP growth for the first seven months of 2026 stood at 7.9%. External trade remained supportive over January–July: exports rose by 21.6% year-on-year to $4.67 billion, while imports increased by 2.4% to $10.85 billion, bringing total merchandise trade turnover up by 7.5% to $15.52 billion.
