New Zealand’s BusinessNZ Performance of Services Index rose to 51.2 in August 2026 from 50.6 in July, marking the third month of expansion in the services sector since December 2025. This was the fastest pace of growth since that time. Two of the five sub-indices remained in expansion territory, with new orders (55.2 vs. 52.8) posting the strongest result, followed by stocks (50.8 vs. 51.7).
