Year-on-year growth in Irish residential property prices slowed in August 2026, with the annual rate easing to 5.10% from 5.50% in July, according to the latest data updated on 13 October 2026.

The figures show that while prices are still rising compared with a year earlier, the pace of increase has moderated. The August 2026 reading represents the change in residential property prices relative to August 2025, while the July 2026 figure reflected the comparison with July 2025.

The deceleration suggests a slight cooling in the Irish housing market’s annual price momentum, although growth remains firmly positive on a year-over-year basis.
