Producer prices in Georgia rose by 4.6% year-on-year in September 2026, slowing from 5.8% in August and marking the weakest annual increase since September 2025. The deceleration was mainly driven by softer inflation in mining and quarrying (12.6% vs 20.1% in August) and in manufacturing (4.1% vs 5.1%).
Within manufacturing, price growth moderated for food products (4.1% vs 5.7%), chemicals and chemical products (10.8% vs 13.3%), coke and refined petroleum products (21.0% vs 33.0%), and basic metals (8.5% vs 10.1%). Inflation also eased in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services (5.8% vs 6.3%).
By contrast, prices for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply accelerated (3.2% vs 2.6%). On a monthly basis, producer prices increased by 0.9% in September, matching the 0.9% rise recorded in August.
