Poland Inflation Eases in October

Poland’s annual inflation rate slowed to 3.5% in October 2026 from 4.1% in September, according to preliminary estimates. The deceleration was mainly driven by lower prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, which edged down by 0.1%. In contrast, costs for fuels and lubricants for private transport surged by 21.7%, while prices for electricity, gas, and other fuels increased by 6.0%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices declined by 0.4% in October, following a 0.7% rise in September, marking the first month-on-month decrease after three consecutive months of gains.
