Indonesia’s Q3 2026 GDP Growth Edges Up to 5.47% Year-on-Year

Indonesia’s economy strengthened modestly in the third quarter of 2026, with year-on-year GDP growth rising to 5.47%, up from 5.29% in the second quarter of 2026. The latest data, updated on 5 November 2026, point to a gradual acceleration in activity as the country maintains a growth rate firmly above 5%.

Both the current and previous readings are calculated on a year-over-year basis, comparing each quarter’s performance with the same period a year earlier. The improvement from the second to the third quarter suggests a steady, if measured, expansion of Indonesia’s economic output, reinforcing its position as one of the faster-growing economies in the region.

While the increase is incremental, the upward shift in GDP growth may support a more positive tone in policy and market discussions, as investors and officials assess whether this momentum can be sustained into subsequent quarters.
