Unilever Recalls 137K Cases Of Popsicle Jolly Rancher Pops

Unilever U.S., a leading producer of consumer goods, has issued a recall for approximately 137,000 cases of its Popsicle Jolly Rancher Frozen Confection Pop products in the United States due to the potential presence of undeclared milk, an allergen, as reported by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

This recall specifically affects Jolly Rancher Green Apple, Blue Raspberry, and Grape Frozen Confection Pops in 2.71 fl oz packaging, identified by Consumer Unit UPC 077567003720, and various lot codes. These items were distributed nationally to wholesale distributors and operators between February 1, 2024, and August 15, 2024.

Only the single-serve Popsicle Jolly Rancher Frozen Confection Pop products intended for individual sale are under recall. No other Unilever or Popsicle products are implicated.

These single-serve products are commonly available through avenues such as ice cream trucks, concession stands, and grab-and-go freezers across the United States.

The recall does not encompass the 18-count Popsicle Jolly Rancher multi-packs sold at grocery stores and retailers nationwide.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that milk allergens might be present in the product, which was not declared on the packaging.

Individuals with a milk allergy or severe sensitivity to milk may experience serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.

To date, there have been two reported allergic reactions associated with the affected product.

Consumers concerned about an allergic reaction should seek advice from a healthcare provider.

Those who have purchased the recalled products are advised not to consume them and should contact Unilever U.S. for reimbursement.
