In March 2025, Bosnia and Herzegovina experienced a slight decrease in its annual inflation rate to 3.2%, down from the previous month's more than one-year high of 3.5%. This represents the lowest inflation rate recorded since December 2024, largely attributed to a deeper decline in transport costs, which fell by 3.1% compared to a 0.4% decrease in February. Additionally, there was a slowdown in price increases for several categories: alcoholic beverages and tobacco (3.9% compared to 5.6%), health services (6.3% down from 6.8%), recreation and culture (3.1% compared to 3.4%), as well as restaurants and hotels (5.8% down from 5.9%). Prices for miscellaneous goods and services also saw a decrease (2.8% down from 3.3%). Conversely, there was a rise in expenses related to food and non-alcoholic beverages (increasing to 7.8% from 7.2%), and housing and utilities (up to 0.6% from 0.4%). Notably, the cost of communication and education remained steady at 0.2% and 0.6%, respectively. On a month-over-month basis, consumer prices did not change in March 2025 after a 0.7% rise in the previous month.
