In April 2025, Zimbabwe experienced a year-on-year increase in consumer prices by 0.6%, following a 0.1% decline the previous month. The national statistics agency reported that the annual inflation rate was recorded at 85.7%. This is the first annual inflation figure published since April 2024, subsequent to the government's introduction of the Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) currency.
