Colombia’s leading economic indicator rose 1.7% year-on-year in December 2025, after a downwardly revised 2.5% increase in November. This marked the third consecutive monthly slowdown and the weakest pace of activity since April 2025. Growth in services (2.8%) was offset by contractions in both primary (-1.1%) and secondary (-1.0%) sectors. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, overall economic activity grew 1.6% in December. For 2025 as a whole, Colombian economic activity expanded by 2.7%, up from 1.6% in the previous year.
