Danish Industrial Slump Eases in December as Output Decline Moderates

Denmark’s industrial sector showed signs of stabilisation at the end of 2025, as the pace of contraction in production slowed markedly in December. Industrial production fell 1.0% month-over-month in December 2025, an improvement from the sharper 5.8% decline recorded in November 2025.

The figures, updated on 06 February 2026, indicate that while output is still shrinking on a month-over-month basis, the downturn is losing momentum. The current reading compares the change in December to November, whereas the previous figure captured the change in November versus October. The softer decline could suggest that some of the pressure on Danish industry is beginning to ease heading into 2026, though the sector remains in negative territory.
