Brazil Mid-Month CPI Eases to 4.10% YoY in February, Down from 4.50% in January

Brazil’s mid-month consumer inflation cooled in February 2026, with the year-over-year Mid-Month CPI easing to 4.10%, down from 4.50% in January 2026.

The indicator, updated on 27 February 2026, shows that price pressures moderated when comparing February 2026 to the same month a year earlier. In January, the mid-month reading had been 4.50% year-over-year, measured against January of the previous year under the same comparison basis.

The data suggest a slight deceleration in inflation momentum at the start of the year, as each month’s figure reflects how prices have changed versus the corresponding month 12 months earlier, providing investors and policymakers with an updated gauge of Brazil’s inflation trajectory.
