U.S. Refinery Crude Runs Rebound Week-on-Week, EIA Data Shows

U.S. refinery crude runs edged higher in the latest reporting week, reversing the prior period’s decline, according to data released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) on 4 March 2026. The indicator rose by 0.180 million barrels week-on-week, following a decrease of 0.416 million barrels in the previous week.

The week-over-week comparison highlights a shift in operational momentum at U.S. refineries. While the earlier data reflected a pullback in crude processing, the latest figure points to a modest recovery in refinery activity compared with the prior week’s downturn. The “Actual” reading captures the change in the current week versus the previous one, while the “Previous” value shows how refinery runs changed in that earlier week relative to the week before it.
