Dutch Manufacturing Output Edges Higher in January, Signaling Tentative Momentum

Dutch manufacturing production posted a modest month-on-month gain in January 2026, suggesting a gradual improvement in industrial activity at the start of the year. According to the latest data updated on 10 March 2026, output rose 0.4% compared with December 2025, slightly faster than the 0.3% increase recorded in the previous month.

On a month-over-month basis, the January uptick marks a continuation of the sector’s incremental growth trend, with current figures measured against December’s performance, while December’s 0.3% rise was in turn a comparison with November. Although the pace of expansion remains subdued, the back-to-back increases indicate that Dutch manufacturers are maintaining forward momentum, potentially laying the groundwork for a more solid recovery if conditions remain supportive in the coming months.
