FX.co ★ AAR To Supply Surplus Material For CFM56-5B Engine To Cebu Pacific

AAR Corp, a firm specializing in aftermarket solutions for the aerospace and defense sectors, announced on Wednesday that it has entered a multi-year agreement with Philippine budget airline, Cebu Pacific. The agreement signifies AAR's commitment to provide surplus supplies for the CFM56-5B engine.

Under this agreement, AAR will support Cebu Pacific's planned 30 shop visits to inspect the CFM56-5B engines during the course of the contract.

The collaboration aligns with our strategic partnership with FTAI Aviation on the CFM56 engine platform. By leveraging available surplus materials approved by the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), we aim to help Cebu Pacific drastically cut costs during shop visits,” noted Sal Marino, Senior Vice President of Parts Supply at AAR.
