Stop & Shop, a subsidiary of Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize N.V. (ADRND.PK, AHODF.PK), announced on Friday its decision to shutter 32 underperforming stores by or before November 2. This move is part of a strategic plan aimed at positioning the company for future growth.
The company assured that customers will be notified in advance about the specific closure dates. Employees affected by the store closures will be offered alternative opportunities within Stop & Shop.
"Stop & Shop is committed to growth through significant, multi-year price investments and an enhanced customer value proposition, both in-store and online. Our focus will be on providing consistently lower daily prices and additional savings for our customers through robust promotions," stated Gordon Reid, President.
