China Yuchai International Limited (CYD) has announced a 34.7% increase in net profit attributable to equity holders for the first half of the year, reaching RMB 240.3 million. Earnings per share rose to RMB 5.88, up from RMB 4.37 in the previous year. Revenue for the period was RMB 10.3 billion, compared to RMB 9.2 billion in the prior year. Additionally, the company reported a 16.3% increase in engine sales, with a total of 192,743 units sold.
Weng Ming Hoh, President of China Yuchai, commented, "We achieved higher revenue, operating profits, and earnings per share compared to the same period last year. These results were driven by increased unit sales in the commercial truck and bus sectors, along with growth in our off-road market segments. Our diverse engine portfolio caters to both on-road and off-road customers, including those in industrial, agricultural, and power generation sectors. Our key joint ventures also made higher contributions to net profits during this period."
