The average interest rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage supported by Freddie Mac increased to 6.67% on March 20th. This marks a slight rise for the second consecutive week from the lowest levels noted since early December. Sam Khater, Freddie Mac’s Chief Economist, highlighted, "For nine weeks in a row, the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage has remained under 7%, benefiting both potential buyers and sellers."
