This represents the fourth consecutive month of declining producer prices, marking the steepest decline yet, as manufacturing costs continued their downward trend, falling by 4.1% compared to March's 2.5% reduction. Furthermore, inflation for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply decelerated significantly to 0.4% from 6.8%. Meanwhile, the sectors of water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities displayed no change in prices, remaining stagnant at 0% following a 0.7% increase previously. In contrast, prices for mining and quarrying experienced a recovery, climbing by 0.3% after a previous decline of 2.1%. On a month-over-month basis, producer prices decreased by 1.9% in April, following a 1.4% decline in the prior period.
