In March 2025, Swedish industry's total orders saw a significant increase of 10.7% compared to the same month the previous year, a notable acceleration from the revised 2.4% growth witnessed in February. This rise marks the fifth month in a row of positive growth, primarily driven by a substantial surge in foreign orders, which soared by 19.7% following a 6.5% increase in February. Meanwhile, domestic demand experienced a less severe contraction, declining by only 3% compared to a 4.2% drop the previous month. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, new orders rose by 5.2% in March, bouncing back from an upward revision of a 6.5% decrease in the prior period.
