FX.co ★ Euro Area Construction Output Rises for 2nd Month

In May 2025, construction output in the Euro Area increased by 2.9% compared to the same month the previous year. This follows a revised growth of 4.7% in April. The growth in building construction slowed to 6.4%, down from 7.4% in the previous month. Similarly, civil engineering output grew by 2.9%, slightly lower than the 3.2% recorded in April, and specialized construction activities increased by 1%, compared to 2% previously. On a month-to-month basis, construction output dropped by 1.7% in May, following a significant 4.9% rise in April.
