Week Ahead - Mar 16th

The war in the Middle East and its effects on energy supplies will remain a dominant force in global markets and will be a crucial factor in a series of upcoming interest rate decisions by major central banks. The Federal Reserve will be in focus as Chair Powell heads into the penultimate meeting of his current term. Policy decisions are also scheduled across the G10, including the ECB, BoJ, BoE, SNB, RBA, BoC, and Sveriges Riksbank, as well as central banks in China, Brazil, and Russia. On the data front, key releases include US PPI and industrial production, the Eurozone trade balance, unemployment figures from the UK and Australia, and the Canadian inflation rate. China will also publish a comprehensive set of indicators, including industrial production, retail sales, the unemployment rate, housing prices, and fixed-asset investment.
