Mexico’s private spending growth strengthened notably in the fourth quarter of 2025, with the indicator rising to 4.00% year-over-year, up from 1.60% in the third quarter of 2025. The latest figures, updated on 20 March 2026, point to a solid acceleration in household and corporate expenditure as the year drew to a close.
The data show that, when compared with the same quarter a year earlier, private spending expanded at a significantly faster pace in Q4 than it did in Q3. This shift suggests that underlying domestic demand gained momentum late in 2025, after a more modest year-over-year increase in the previous quarter.
The year-over-year comparison framework means that both the current (Q4 2025) and previous (Q3 2025) readings measure changes against the corresponding quarters a year earlier, providing a clearer view of trend strength beyond short-term monthly or quarterly volatility.
