Days after US President Donald Trump threatened broad economic sanctions on any nation supporting Iran’s military in its conflict with the United States and Israel, he specified on Sunday that the warning also includes China, The Economic Times reported.

Trump had previously announced that any country supplying military equipment to Iran would face tariffs of up to 50% on all exports to the United States. “A country supplying military weapons to Iran will be immediately tariffed on any goods sold to the United States of America, 50%, effective immediately. There will be no exclusions or exemptions,” he wrote on his Truth Social platform.

Beijing, however, has denied providing arms to Tehran, according to a Reuters report. Trump’s clarification came after US and Iranian negotiators failed to reach a peace agreement during talks held on Saturday.
