Spain’s seasonally adjusted industrial confidence indicator declined further to -5.0 in April 2026, its lowest level since August 2025, from an upwardly revised -4.3 in March. The deterioration mainly reflected weaker production expectations (-2.4 vs 1.0 in March), alongside persistent pressure on order books (-9.5 vs -9.5). Export orders also dropped sharply (-26.2 vs -17.9), while stock levels edged lower (3.1 vs 4.4). In addition, the inflation outlook deteriorated, with price pressures expected to increase (26.5 vs 20.6).
