Czech retail sales, adjusted for working days (WDA), strengthened in March 2026, with the year-over-year indicator rising to 4.90%. This marks an acceleration from February 2026, when the same WDA-based retail measure stood at 4.10% year-over-year.

Both figures are calculated on a year-over-year basis, comparing each month to the same month a year earlier. The improvement in March suggests that consumer activity in the Czech retail sector continued to gain momentum as the first quarter of 2026 progressed. The latest data were updated on 11 May 2026, confirming a positive shift in the pace of annual retail growth between February and March.
