Malta’s producer prices increased by 0.9% year-on-year in April 2026, maintaining the same pace as in March. Inflation picked up for intermediate goods (2.0% vs 1.6%), but slowed for capital goods (3.2% vs 4.0%). Meanwhile, deflation in consumer goods intensified slightly (-0.6% vs -0.5%), with prices for durable goods edging up 0.1%, while deflation for non-durable goods deepened (-0.6% vs -0.5%). Energy prices were unchanged at 0%. By market, producer inflation eased in both domestic (1.3% vs 1.5%) and non-domestic markets (0.4% vs 0.5%). On a monthly basis, producer prices were flat in April, following a 0.3% decline in March.
