FX.co ★ Euro Area Consumer Confidence at 5-Month High

Consumer confidence in the Euro Area rose for the third consecutive month in July 2026, improving to -15.9 from -17.6 in June and surpassing market expectations of -16.8, according to preliminary estimates. Sentiment also improved across the wider European Union, where the index climbed to -15.1 from -17.0 in the previous month. However, despite three straight months of gains, consumer confidence has yet to recoup the losses recorded since February and remains below its long-term average.
