DAX 40 Rebounds on Friday

The DAX 40 climbed more than 1% to trade above 25,100 on Friday, rebounding from a near one-month low as investors reacted positively to strong corporate earnings and better‑than‑expected PMI figures. Sentiment further brightened late in the European session after oil prices retreated, following reports that Pakistan was seeking to revive US‑Iran peace talks.

At the same time, markets continued to weigh the impact of newly announced US tariffs on imports from 60 trading partners, including the European Union. According to the latest S&P Global survey, Eurozone business activity returned to growth in July, beating expectations, with Germany at the forefront of the recovery.

On the corporate front, SAP jumped 10% after reporting quarterly revenue that exceeded forecasts, supported by strong cloud backlog growth and robust demand for its AI platform. Atoss Software also advanced nearly 10% on the back of solid cloud‑related results. In contrast, Adidas slipped 1.5%, and Volkswagen declined 2.4% after posting weaker earnings and trimming their revenue outlooks.

On a weekly basis, the German benchmark index gained 1.1%.
