Poland Inflation Rate Rises in July

Poland’s annual inflation rate quickened to 3.0% year-on-year in July 2026, up from 2.5% in June, according to preliminary estimates. The acceleration was largely driven by a sharp increase in prices of fuels and lubricants for private transport, which rose 15.8%. Inflation in electricity, gas, and other fuels also picked up, reaching 4.0%. In contrast, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages fell by 0.4%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices climbed 0.8% in July, rebounding from a 0.5% decline in June and returning to growth after two consecutive months of decreases.
