Poland’s economy grew by 3.8% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, matching market expectations and accelerating from the 3.5% expansion recorded in the first quarter, according to preliminary estimates. This growth occurred despite ongoing inflationary pressures driven by elevated energy prices linked to the conflict in the Middle East. On a seasonally adjusted quarter-on-quarter basis, GDP increased by 0.9%, up from 0.6% in the previous quarter but slightly below the market consensus of 1.0% growth.
