FX.co ★ Lithuania Industrial Output Rises Further in August

Industrial production in Lithuania increased by 4.8% year-on-year in August 2026, up from 3.3% in July. Growth in manufacturing strengthened to 5.2%, compared with 3.6% in the previous month, while output in mining and quarrying accelerated to 9.5% from 3.2%. The decline in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities also moderated, with output down 10.1% versus a 12.3% contraction in July. In contrast, the slump in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply deepened, with activity falling 6.1% after a 4.3% decrease a month earlier. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production rose 0.2%, rebounding from a revised 2.7% decline in July.
