Austria recorded a current account surplus of €0.25 billion in Q2 2026, the smallest since Q3 2024 and down from €0.89 billion in the same quarter a year earlier. The primary income surplus narrowed notably, falling to €0.19 billion from €0.66 billion in Q2 2025, while the secondary income deficit widened to €1.11 billion from €0.90 billion. By contrast, the goods surplus remained broadly unchanged at €1.5 billion, and the services deficit narrowed slightly to €0.37 billion from €0.40 billion.
