Estonia Producer Prices Rise to 8-Month High

Estonia’s producer prices increased by 4.2% year-on-year in September 2026, up from 3.3% in August, marking the highest rate since January. The acceleration was driven by faster price growth in mining and quarrying (5.8% vs 3.4% in August) and in water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (3.8% vs 3.4%).

In manufacturing, producer price inflation remained steady at 4.8%. Within this sector, prices rose further in several categories, including the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (60.9% vs 38.3%), chemicals and chemical products (5.4% vs 4.2%), basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (3.7% vs 2.8%), other non-metallic mineral products (6.2% vs 5.2%), computer, electronic and optical products (3.0% vs 2.4%), motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (3.5% vs 2.6%), and furniture (1.4% vs 0.9%).

At the same time, deflation in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply moderated significantly, with prices falling 3.5% compared with a 13.8% decline in the previous month. On a monthly basis, producer prices rose by 1.4% in September, the same pace as in August.
