FX.co ★ Taiwan Jobless Rate at 3.33% in September

Taiwan’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate inched down by 0.01 percentage point from the previous month to 3.33% in September 2026, even as the number of unemployed rose by 1,000 to 401,000. At the same time, total employment slipped by 4,000 to 11.644 million.

The labor force participation rate held steady at 59.59%, with the total labor force edging down by 2,000 to 12.046 million.

On a non-seasonally adjusted basis, the unemployment rate eased to 3.36% in September from 3.41% in August, as the number of unemployed declined by 6,000 to 405,000. The jobless rate for young people aged 15–24 also improved, falling to 11.59% from 11.74% a month earlier.
