FX.co ★ Citigroup hired ex-criminals due to poor background checks

A new scandal with the US Citibank broke when it turned out that the bank hired people with previous criminal records. This fact was enough to accuse one of the largest investment company Citigroup of negligence in their security system. During regular security checks, it has been revealed that among the company’s 1000 employees there were three individuals who had been previously convicted of crimes and served real prison sentences. The exact type of crime they had been incriminated is not known, however, they were all once hired to work in a broker department of the company. It is believed to be a mistake of the bank’s security department which failed to do adequate background checks on their employees.
