JPMorgan Chase: cryptocurrency usage rising in US

The latest research from JPMorgan showed that crypto usage in the US has increased in recent years. More and more Americans are getting involved in transactions with digital assets and have held cryptocurrency at some point in their lives. However, not everybody had a positive experience with crypto. Experts at JPMorgan Chase have surveyed over 5 million customers and found that around 600,000 of them were actively using cryptocurrencies in the past two years. They conducted transfers and received assets through various crypto exchanges and services. The study also revealed that around 13% of the country’s population, or 43 million people, owned cryptocurrency between 2020 and 2022. The number of users interested in crypto surged in 2020 when bitcoin showed its stunning rally. This changed in 2022 as crypto prices fell and the outlook for the US economy worsened. The survey discovered that people in the age group of 26 to 41 years are more likely to purchase cryptocurrency and that men of all ages are more poised to buy crypto than women.
