South Korea Inflation Adds 0.1% In March

The Statistics Korea agency revealed on Tuesday that the monthly consumer prices in South Korea rose by a seasonally adjusted 0.1 percent in March. This figure was lower than the projected increase of 0.3 percent, marking a decrease from the 0.5 percent inflation recorded in February.

On an annual basis, there was a 3.1 percent inflation rise, aligning with previous expectations and maintaining consistency with the past month's figures.

When disregarding the fluctuating costs of food, the core Consumer Price Index (CPI) for March saw a month-on-month increase of 0.1 percent and a year-on-year growth of 2.4 percent. These figures signify a slight reduction from February's 0.3 percent month-on-month rise and a 2.5 percent annual increase.
