FX.co ★ Lithuania Consumer Prices Rise Slightly In April

The consumer prices in Lithuania observed a slight increase in April, after maintaining steady for the previous month, according to the statistical office data released on Thursday. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose marginally by 0.1% year-on-year in April, after showing no change in March.

There was a notable decrease in consumer goods prices by 2.2%, while service prices saw a significant rise by 5.7%. The annual growth price for food, non-alcoholic beverages, and tobacco was reported to have accelerated to 5.6% from 5.3%. However, transportation charges exhibited a comparatively slower growth rate of 3.1%.

In a month's comparison, consumer prices in April recovered by 0.1% after recording a fall of 0.2% in March.
